Story of Desa Southern Food
Founded in 1986, Desa Southern Food embarked on its journey as a repacking pioneer, steadily growing over the years. Our humble beginnings involved repackaging tinned biscuits into convenient 200g packs. Over the years, we have evolved and diversified, expanding our offerings to include a delightful array of Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia, alongside premium Halal Snacks Malaysia and quality Malaysian Snacks.
Today, our products are available on the shelves of tourist centres, local supermarkets, convenience stores, petrol marts, and retail outlets, bringing joy to consumers across the country. With a commitment to quality and convenience, Desa Southern Food has become a trusted name for Malaysian Snacks and Halal Snacks Malaysia.
DSF’s dedication led us to earn ISO 9001 and HACCP certifications by 2008, and soon we were crafting healthier snack options by introducing a delicious range of Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia in 2011.
Fast forward to 2012, we ventured into the instant beverage market, creating delightful blends of White Coffee, Milk Tea, and Hot Chocolate. Our evolution continued in 2014 as we became a leading nuts manufacturer, offering peanuts, cashews, and green peas for both local and international markets. Our commitment to quality was further reinforced with FSSC 22000 certification in 2018.
In 2019, we embarked on a new journey with O’Genki, a Japanese-inspired brand, launching an e-commerce platform to bring healthier Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia to more consumers. The excitement didn't stop there! In 2021, we introduced our fun-loving brand, Syokkk!, featuring a crunchy and flavourful range of nuts in various packaging options, further expanding our collection of Malaysian Snacks.
Rooted in our vision to become Asia's favourite and most trusted Halal Snacks Malaysia brand, we've come a long way from our repacking origins. Today, we continue to innovate with premium Malaysian Snacks and wholesome Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia, crafting delicious treats that have stood the test of time and taste.

From young to old, we believe that everyone deserves to enjoy delicious snacks. Last year, we visited elderly people from underprivileged communities in collaboration with Miaow Miaow Food, providing them with food, companionship, and care. Through sharing our Halal Snacks Malaysia, we hope to create meaningful moments and bring smiles to those in need.
We also actively participate in and sponsor community activities, including school projects, sports events, and children's colouring contests. As a trusted provider of Malaysian Snacks and Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia, we are committed to giving back to the community and believe that every act of kindness helps spread happiness to more people.

Established in 1986, Desa Southern Food began as the Packaging Division within its parent company, Desa Southern Agency Sdn. Bhd. In the same year, we officially separated from our parent company and established Desa Southern Food Products Sdn. Bhd. as an independent entity. Since then, we have continued to grow as a trusted producer of Malaysian Snacks, Halal Snacks Malaysia, and quality Dried nuts and fruits Malaysia, serving consumers with delicious and reliable snack choices.
